Description:

Role:
  • To support the Accounts Manager in credit control and administration functions
  • Assist in the continued development of the Department
  • An enthusiastic and proactive approach to working relationships with Client and colleagues
  • Fully participate in the Company’s training policy and procedures
  • Monitor account applications for credit to ensure received prior to commencement of works
  • Checking and assessing customers credit situation
  • Decide whether to offer credit
  • Set up new Customers accounts
  • Negotiating payment terms where required
  • Dealing with internal queries regarding invoices
  • Ensure that debts are paid in a timely manner
  • Prepare Sales Invoices and send out to Customer
  • Meet cash and debtor day targets set by the Company
  • Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email and letter within agreed timescales
  • Call to ensure customers have received invoices and they are logged on their system
  • Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity
  • Respond promptly to both client and internal enquiries
  • Send out monthly client statements
  • Develop the credit management capability within the Company
  • Start legal action to collect the money owed
  •  
  • You are expected to regularly review the companys debt recovery procedures
  • There should be a close liaison between the credit controller and the sales department
  • Credit issues and invoice queries to be resolved smoothly

Hours:

08:30 - 17:00 - Monday/Friday

30 hours per week – Either 4 or 5 days – Either 8.30am or 9am start


Salary:

£16,000 - £18,000 - pro rata
