Purchasing Assistant 

up to £24k Depending on experience

The Role:

Working within a Purchasing team
Responsible for ensuring all orders and parts are placed and delivered within timescales required
Order processing and order administration
Processing account opening forms,
Order progressing
Assisting with stock management and stock control
Shipping & Import Tracking & Management.
Liaising with Vendor Supply Chain
Supporting Warehouse with Booking In & Out issues
Quotation administration
Price list administration & conversion
Updating and sanitising system information including product information and new contacts
Answering incoming calls, dealing with pricing enquiries, queries and transferring calls
Progressing enquiries from customers to enable to enquiry to progress to a quote
Chase quote status to obtain the order and/or distinguish the status of the quote
Dealing with supplier and customer queries to progress the order

Skills and Attributes required:

Excellent communication skills (telephone and email)
Ability to infuence and build strong supplier relations
Confident in dealing with deadlines and working under pressure
Strong PC skills in all Microsoft packages
Strong organisational skills
Accurate data entry and attention to detail
Customer account management, purchasing or sales experience
Dealing with supplier and customer queries to progress the order
Experience in using Sage 50 or similar
